Every Woodlawn swing set we craft at our home in West Michigan is made with care. We use beautiful, natural timber that is superior-grade quality to enhance the beauty of the wooden swing set on your lawn. Each Woodlawn swing set has a distinctive, elegant appearance and is something you’ll be proud to own for years to come. From the rope and swing hangers to the awnings and hardware, we use only the best materials for our swing sets. And we make each swing set as if it was going to end up in our own backyard.

						Quality of wood: Woodlawn hand selects superior-grade timber that is both beautiful and strong for a more natural appearance. Some manufacturers cut corners by coating a lower quality lumber with plastic.
						Ropes: Soft to the touch, our UV-protected rope is made of tightly woven, double-braided polypropylene vs. brittle, dry, splintery rope. We pay a little extra to have it woven tighter to reduce stretch with use and so it will retain its resistance to breaking over time. These ropes are the longest lasting in the industry. For strength and safety, we use 9/16-inch rope instead of the thinner 3/8-inch rope that some swing set manufacturers select.
						Swings Belts: Woodlawn’s swing belts (seats) are made of strong, thick and durable polymer and are UV-protected to resist fading. Rust-free, stainless steel clamps with tiny “teeth” are applied with over 2000 lbs. of pressure to secure the rope. And we reinforce around the rope attachments on the swing belt itself so it won’t tear or break. Some manufacturers use a heavy-grade wire wrap to hold the rope, which can come loose or scratch your child.
						Slides: Woodlawn uses thermoformed slides on all of our larger swing sets. Made of HMPE (high molecular weight polyethylene) plastic they are both strong and shatter resistant. All of our thermoformed slides come with a lifetime warranty against cracking, breaking and shattering. The slides have a mounting flange that bends down and attaches to the side of the deck’s frameboard for maximum safety. You can lift it up to mow under it with no risk of breakage. Our processing method ensures that it is smooth to the touch with no seams or rough edges. It’ll look great in your yard because the color is consistent throughout the entire length of the slide with no spotty white circles.
						Canopy: Exposure to sun and elements can deteriorate a poor grade awning. So, to make sure that forest green doesn’t fade to light blue over the summer, Woodlawn selects Marine Vinyl for all of its swing set canopies. Not only will they protect your children from dangerous UV rays, the vinyl material is tear-resistant. Our swing set canopies are made in the USA.
						Top Ladder Monkey Bars: Our larger swing sets have thick 4″x6″ horizontal beams on all three-position top ladder monkey bars. Many of our competitors use single 2″x6″ beams as their standard. For the utmost in safety and strength, all Woodlawn monkey bar ladder rungs are powder coated steel. Wooden dowels, no matter how smooth at purchase will age, crack, splinter and wear. The powder coating provides a tough durable finish that is resistant to chips and scratches. Additionally, we take the time to pre-assemble the full top ladder monkey bar unit at our factory so they install quickly. To avoid falls, we warn against climbing on top of monkey bars.
